The elbow is one of the most common large joints to be dislocated. Anterior elbow dislocations are rare due to the high force and position necessary to cause the injury. This activity reviews the anatomy of the elbow and the evaluation, treatment, and complications associated with this injury. It also summarizes interprofessional team strategies for improving care coordination and communication to advance the care and improve outcomes of patients with anterior elbow dislocations.
