Anticoagulation Management/Endoscopic Functional Luminal Imaging Probe

Anticoagulation Management/Endoscopic Functional Luminal Imaging Probe

The goal of this program is to improve management of anticoagulation in elective endoscopy procedures, and management of esophageal disorders with functional luminal imaging probes (FLIP). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Distinguish endoscopic procedures associated with high risk for bleeding from procedures with low or medium risk for bleeding. 2. Recommend interruption of direct oral anticoagulants before endoscopic procedures. 3. Implement an anticoagulation strategy for patients with impaired renal function. 4. Select a diagnostic tool to evaluate esophageal dysfunction. 5. Use FLIP to diagnose the severity of achalasia.
