The goal of this program is to improve the management of pediatric agitation and aggression. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be able to: 1. Assess pediatric patients with agitation in the emergency setting. 2. Avoid excessive use of seclusion and restraints for agitated patients. 3. Utilize appropriate medications when indicated to manage pediatric agitation. 4. Prescribe antipsychotic medication for patients with early-onset schizophrenia in a timely manner.
