The goal of this program is to improve applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in anesthesiology, and management of patients taking glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) in the perioperative period. After hearing and assimilating this pro gram, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Anticipate deficiencies of AI in healthcare environments. 2. Choose roles for AI in which proficiency has been demonstrated. 3. Use ultrasonography (US) to assess gastric emptying in patients taking GLP-1RAs. 4. Advise patients taking GLP-1Ras on fasting times before surgery. 5. Recognize indications of gastric contents on US.
