Education provided during Ethics Committee meetings is intended to support Ethics Committee members in building understanding of common ethical issues that arise in the clinical setting, equip them with knowledge regarding how to support providers and care teams in navigating those issues, how to appropriately escalate requests for ethics consults to local Ethics leadership, and how to engage in the Clinical Ethics Deliberation Process as a member of the Ethics Consult Team.
