The goal of this program is to improve preservation of cognitive reserve (CR) in patients undergoing surgery. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:List adverse effects in older patients with diminished CR undergoing noncardiac surgery.Optimize use of the Mini Cog assessment in patients with scheduled surgery.Use cognitive exercises to reduce the risk for postoperative delirium in older patients.
