The Association of Program Directors in Surgery (APDS), established in 1977, serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing topics critical to post-graduate surgical education. Partnering with the Association for Surgical Education (ASE), the APDS hosts back-to-back annual meetings, fostering a robust learning environment. The 2025 Annual Meeting will feature a diverse array of sessions focused on the latest methods in surgical education, effective strategies for trainee remediation, adherence to evolving standards and requirements, and innovative approaches to training surgeons in a postgraduate setting. Attendees will also explore best practices for program management, review trends and data from across the field, and engage in discussions on integrating new scientific insights into clinical practice. The meeting will include didactic sessions, symposia on surgical training and program management, and discussions on standard of care. By the event’s conclusion, participants will have acquired actionable knowledge and skills to enhance their practices, improve trainee education, and contribute to measurable advancements in patient care outcomes.
