The goal of this program is to improve management of asthma in children and parenting skills through use of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. List the 3 elements of diagnosis for asthma in children.
2. Use the Asthma Predictive Index for prognosis of asthma in children.
3. Differentiate T2-low asthma from T2-high asthma.
4. Explain use of the 5 PRIDE skills in PCIT.
5. Use the Parent-Directed Interaction phase of PCIT to help parents master parenting skills.
