The goal of this program is to improve the management of com-mon behavioral problems in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and screening and management of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). After hearing and assimilating the program, the clinicians will be able to:
1. Optimize behavioral interventions for problem behavior in children with ASD.
2. Identify the role of classical conditioning and operant conditioning in establishing problem behaviors in children with ASD.
3. Use appropriate interventions for operant conditioning in children with ASD who exhibit problem behaviors.
4. Screen children and adolescents for trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
5. Distinguish between trauma and attention deficit hyperac-tivity disorder.
