This activity reviews the etiology, epidemiology, anatomy, physiology, and prognosis of peripheral nerve injury with a particular focus on axonotmesis. Considering the diverse etiology of axonotmesis and prolonged course, patients will interface with healthcare providers of diverse training backgrounds. This article will familiarize the interprofessional team with ways to identify and manage axonotmesis.
