The same medications and treatments are not universally effective for every patient. How do physicians better prescribe medication and treatments to patients? Is there a way to determine which medication will work better for a specific patient? This course will answer those questions by introducing you to the concept of Pharmacogenomics, in which simple DNA tests help predict how patients will respond to some of the most commonly prescribed medications. We will look at what Pharmacogenomics is, its importance, and how this is changing the landscape of health care.
