The goal of this program is to improve the management of benign gastrointestinal (GI) strictures, chronic pain in children and adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and pancreatic cysts (PCs). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare available methods of dilation for treatment of benign esophageal strictures. 2. Analyze evidence supporting treatment for postsurgical GI strictures. 3. Acknowledge factors that influence predisposition to symp toms of IBD. 4. Optimize medication management of chronic pain in patients with IBD. 5. Implement appropriate surveillance protocols in patients with PCs.
