From cerumen disimpaction to the most complex tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy, proper coding and the language to support it is rarely discussed and taught during residency or fellowship training. This course is designed to provide a solid foundation for reporting the correct CPT codes related to otology both in clinic and operating room. The nuances of documentation necessary for the most common operations are discussed along with the basics of E&M coding and clinic procedures. We will also cover the new codes added in 2021 and scheduled to be added for 2022.
