The goal of this program is to improve management of bleeding in the pediatric population and treatment of fever in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Use the Pediatric Bleeding Questionnaire to evaluate bleeding in children.
2. Optimize use of the von Willebrand panel in evaluation of children with bleeding.
3. Treat acute immune thrombocytopenia in pediatric patients.
4. Compare incidence of bacteremia in infants by weeks of age.
5. Cite American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for treating infants with fever.
