The goal of this program is to improve bone health for spine surgery and management of distal femur fractures. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Summarize the indications, techniques, and complications of spine fusion surgery. 2. Assess preoperative bone health for spine surgery in high-risk patients. 3. Evaluate the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of teriparatide in spine fusion. 4. Explain distal femoral anatomy and classification of fractures. 5. Optimize internal fixation of distal femur fractures.
