Brain Tumor Conference is a required meeting/component of an Approved Cancer Program with the American College of Surgeons. Brain Tumor Board is a multidisciplinary consultative panel of physicians which must include physician representatives from Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pathology and Radiology. Brain cancer cases are discussed among the multidisciplinary team to improve clinical decision making, clinical outcomes and patient experience. Cancer outcomes are better when patients are managed according to the principles of multidisciplinary team evaluation. This process is associated with improved clinical decision making, clinical outcomes and patient experience.
