Despite the significant progress made in HIV prevention and treatment, Black women and girls continue to face disproportionate rates of HIV/AIDS due to unique social, political, and structural determinants that heighten their vulnerability. This on-demand activity will delve into the complex factors and explores effective strategies for increasing HIV awareness, screening, and prevention within Black communities. Participants will examine the pivotal roles of healthcare providers, community liaisons, and advocates in supporting HIV prevention efforts tailored to the unique needs of Black women and girls. Furthermore, gaining the knowledge and tools necessary to advocate for and implement equitable HIV prevention initiatives, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and effective public health response.
