Cancer Conference is an interprofessional group that meets regularly to review all aspects of specific complex/difficult cancer cases and recommend courses of action. The educational purpose of this activity is to ensure the patient receives the best treatment by reviewing staging, NCCN guidelines, clinical trials, genetic review and supportive services. This conference utilizes a collaborative approach in its case presentations, discussion, case management, education to members, and consultative services to patients. Diagnosis, pathophysiology, etiology, other diagnostic data, standards of care, research findings, treatment guidelines, and outcomes are all considered in developing or revising plans of care.
