CARDIAC PRESCREEN CONCERNS IN PEDIATRIC SEDATION/EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE/MANAGEMENT OF PERIOPERATIVE VASOPLEGIA

The goal of this program is to improve cardiac prescreening in pediatric sedation, patient outcomes through optimal health care practices informed by emotional intelligence, and management of vasoplegia. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Compare the implications of left-to-right shunts with right-to-left shunts in pediatric sedation.
2. Select pediatric patients who are candidates for sedation.
3. Explain the neuroscience of emotional intelligence.
4. List the facets of personal competence and social competence.
5. Cite diagnostic criteria in vasoplegia.
