The goals of this program are to improve the management of left ventricular thrombus (LVT) and cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), and improve reduction of cardiovascular risk of antiseizure medi cations. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Outline the pathophysiology, epidemiology, and risk factors of LVT. 2. Implement guideline recommendations for the diagnosis, prevention, and management of LVT. 3. Recognize the risk factors and presenting symptoms of CVT. 4. Analyze the efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants and warfarin in the management of CVT. 5. Recommend appropriate antiseizure medications to reduce cardiovascular risk in epilepsy.
