The goal of this program is to improve use of anticoagulation in the management of COVID-19 and management of patients with post-acute COVID-19 syndrome. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to.
1. Develop strategies for use of anticoagulation in patients with COVID-19.
2. Select patients with COVID-19 who are most likely to benefit from antiviral therapy or immunotherapy.
3. Differentiate post-acute COVID-19 syndrome (PACS) from post-intensive care syndrome.
4. Identify the most common sequelae associated with PACS and the time course of recovery.
5. Optimize perioperative management in patients with prior COVID-19.
