The goal of this program is to improve management of care for difficult patients, patient satisfaction through easy access to elec tronic medical records, and management of geographic atrophy. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify typologies of difficult patients. 2. Choose an effective approach for handling difficult patient behaviors. 3. Take appropriate steps to terminate a patient-provider rela tionship, when necessary. 4. Implement strategies for improving patient and family access to electronic medical records. 5. Develop strategies to slow progression of geographic atrophy associated with age-related macular degeneration.
