The goal of this program is to improve management of cervical spine injuries in athletes, use of joint preservation surgeries, treatment of thoracic deformities by utilizing the rail technique and retro peritoneal access in patients with prior operations. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. List absolute contraindications for athletes returning to play after cervical spine injuries. 2. Optimize management of burners and stingers in athletes. 3. Differentiate among various types of realignment osteotomy in management of knee complications. 4. Correct thoracic deformities in patients using the rail technique. 5. Identify the types of prior abdominal procedures that may influence the approach to retroperitoneal access.
