Due to chromium’s ability to cause acute and chronic systemic toxicity, recognizing associated symptoms from exposure is important. Exposure to chromium causes oxidative stress to the body through multiple routes of exposure and affects nearly every organ system. Short-term and long-term effects vary, but early diagnosis is critical to mitigating severe complications.Participating clinicians gain comprehensive insights into chromium’s absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, enabling them to manage potential toxicity cases effectively. Given chromium’s status as a regulated occupational and environmental hazard, this course navigates through international and governmental guidelines, providing clinicians with the necessary tools to recognize, evaluate, and manage chromium toxicity.
