The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis and management of chronic diarrhea and management of gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Administer cholestyramine to patients with chronic diarrhea.
2. Explain the effect of smoking on ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease.
3. Identify extraintestinal manifestations of inflammatory bowel disease.
4. Differentiate between complete and incomplete GIM.
5. List risk factors for gastric cancer.
