NOTE: This activity is available only as part of a paid subscription series; it is not available for purchase as a single, stand-alone activity.

The goal of this program is to improve the use of osteopathic techniques for management of acute and chronic pain and optimization strategies for fluid resuscitation in patients with burn shock. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. List the osteopathic principles for rational treatment.
2. Use palpation and cranial osteopathy to differentiate among types of headache.
3. Cite complications associated with abdominal compartment syndrome resulting from over-resuscitation of patients with burn shock.
4. Differentiate the Evans and Brooke formulas of fluid resuscitation with the Parkland formula.
5. Optimize fluid resuscitation in management of burn shock.
