Repetitive head injury syndrome, which is now known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting individuals subject to repeated head trauma. This activity reviews the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and typical disease course and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in counseling individuals at risk for this condition in order to limit the long-term consequences.
