Patients with cleft lip and/or palate are commonly encountered in both general ENT practices as well as subspecialty clinics. As such, a familiarity with the etiology, common problems and recommended management should be a component of every ENT’s practice. This lecture will cover the comprehensive care of clefts with a focus on those things encountered in private practice and what can be handled by any well-trained ENT and what should be referred for subspecialty care.
