The goal of this program is to improve the management of hearing loss using cochlear implants and tumors near the pituitary gland. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Apply evidence-based practices to decision-making regarding cochlear implant candidacy. 2. Evaluate the benefits and limitations of cochlear implants for individuals with hearing loss. 3. Recognize the benefits of binaural hearing. 4. Compare the various surgical approaches used to access pituitary tumors. 5. Identify the potential complications associated with pituitary tumor surgery.
