The goal of this program is to improve management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Perform and refer patients for appropriate diagnostic testing for GERD and its mimics. 2. Optimize the use of proton pump inhibitors for patients with suspected or diagnosed GERD. 3. Perform a workup for patients with gastroesophageal symptoms that do not respond to empiric proton pump inhibitor therapy.
