Harm reduction is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use. Harm Reduction is also a movement for social justice built on a belief in, and respect for, the rights of people who use substances. Participants in this course will be able to articulate the definition and core principles of harm reduction and describe how equity relates to harm reduction practices. This course will articulate strategies for implementing harm reduction practices at the organizational level.
