The goal of this program is to improve use of anesthesia after concussions, administration of anesthesia in nonoperating room settings, and management of emergence delirium. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Cite the American Academy of Neurology definition of concussion. 2. List risk factors for concussion in children and adolescents vs adults. 3. Identify risks in anesthesia in nonoperating room settings. 4. Implement risk mitigation strategies when providing anes thesia in remote settings. 5. Select anesthetic regimens to minimize risk for emergence delirium.
