The goal of this program is to improve contraceptive care and management of sleep deprivation. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Counsel patients on benefits and risks associated with different contraceptive methods.
2. Summarize the relative risks associated with contraception, early pregnancy termination, and full-term pregnancy.
3. Compare efficacy and safety of various contraceptive methods.
4. Review the effects of sleep deprivation on cardiovascular and metabolic health outcomes.
5. Cite mechanisms that may be responsible for the link between sleep deprivation and mental health problems.
