The goal of this program is to improve critical care in the emergency department and management of older patients with trauma. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. List appropriate vasoactive agents used to reduce mortality in patients with sepsis. 2. Identify the appropriate antidote for cocaine toxicity. 3. Compare use of etomidate with ketamine in the emergency department. 4. Optimize induction of intubation in older patients. 5. Choose appropriate first-line drugs for pain management in older patients.
