This series is designed to improve critical care practice at TJUH, to provide interdisciplinary education among colleagues and identify leading practices through peer discussion. This will expose faculty and trainees to a broad spectrum of education, identify factors that can be improved in our daily practice, and review new and exciting management that can be imploded in a variety of clinical contexts.
From an institutional standpoint, mortality and complication rates can be evaluated and compared. From an educational standpoint, the fellows are asked questions during the conference to determine their level of understanding of important ICU principles, and reinforce practices that minimize medical errors and adverse patient events.
