Stricturoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to alleviate bowel narrowing due to scar tissue that has built up in the intestinal wall from an inflammatory condition such as Crohn disease. Three techniques are utilized depending on the length of the stricture. This activity reviews the step by step approach of the stricturoplasty procedure and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in the care of patients with Crohn disease after undergoing the procedure.
