Individuals who have experienced human trafficking come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and speak many different languages. In order to work with such a diverse population, it s important to use culturally and linguistically appropriate services. You can access the free module on TRAIN here. After completing the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services module, learners will be able to: Define health equity and describe how culture and language are related to health inequities and health disparities that affect health equity; Identify characteristics of cultural and linguistic responsiveness and the impact of each on health equity; and Apply Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards and exhibit cultural awareness when interacting with individuals who have experienced trafficking. This module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
