The goal of this program is to improve management of amblyopia in children, diversity in ophthalmology, management of various retinal diseases, and management of pediatric retinal detachment (RD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Prescribe spectacle correction for children based on risk factors for amblyopia.
2. Determine appropriate treatment to control progression of myopia and strabismus.
3. Implement changes to increase diversity and inclusion in ophthalmic practice, including patient care and academia.
4. Workup various retinal conditions based upon current data and screening guidelines.
5. Differentiate among types of pediatric RD.
