Cryptococcus is an encapsulated fungus and an opportunistic pathogen. These commonly infect the central nervous system but can present with a variety of skin manifestations such as a papule, a maculopapular lesion or a violaceous nodular lesion. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of cutaneous cryptococcosis and explains the role of the interprofessional team members in managing patients with this condition.
