Third-party data breaches, unauthorized email access, and cyberattacks continue to hit the health sector. More than 40 million patient records have been compromised this past year by incidents reported to the federal government in 2021. These incidents take down networks for weeks at a time and potentially lead to disruptions of care throughout the country. The information learned in this course will help to keep the information of patients, students, and employees safe and reduce the likelihood of a cyberattack.
