The purpose of this live virtual knowledge-based program is targeted at pharmacy to provide knowledge of dementia as a growing health concern, yet many healthcare providers, including pharmacists, lack comprehensive knowledge of its pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and optimal management strategies. Practice gaps include limited awareness of evidence-based treatments, insufficient focus on non-pharmacological interventions, and inadequate support for caregivers. Drivers for clinical practice change include the increasing prevalence of dementia, advancements in therapeutic options, and the need for pharmacists to play a proactive role in improving patient outcomes and medication safety. This presentation addresses these gaps by equipping pharmacists with the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance care delivery and adapt to evolving clinical demands.
