The goal of this program is to improve management in primary care of patients with mental health issues. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Administer screening tests for depression in the primary care setting. 2. Choose appropriate antidepressant medications based on symptom complex and medical considerations. 3. Use combination therapy to reverse sexual dysfunction from increased serotonin levels. 4. Follow guidelines for maintenance antidepressant therapy after remission is achieved. 5. Differentiate active suicidal ideation (SI) from passive SI.
