Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a congenital type of anemia with pure red cell aplasia causing congenital bone abnormalities and most commonly presents during the first year of life. It can be diagnosed by the simple criteria and hematological tests, which can help the patient attain a better quality of life and prevent the occurrence of tumors, organ failures, etc. Corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment for DBA. Also, blood transfusions, stem cell transplantations, and gene therapy can be considered.
