The goal of this program is to improve management of resuscitation, staff resiliency during mass casualty incidents, thoroughness of disaster preparedness for hospitals, and treatment of adult and pediatric burn injuries. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Choose an optimal ratio of blood components for massive transfusions following hemorrhage.
2. Monitor coagulation in patients with trauma.
3. Promote resilience among health care providers during a mass casualty incident.
4. Prioritize areas to improve with regard to disaster preparedness.
5. Manage burn injuries in adult and pediatric patients.
