DISPARITIES IN STROKE CARE/SPONTANEOUS INTRACRANIAL HYPOTENSION

The goal of this program is to improve patient outcomes through recognition of racial and regional disparities that exist in stroke care, management of spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH), and optimization of imaging in SIH. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. List risk factors for hypertension.
2. Cite disparities in stroke care for rural vs urban populations.
3. Explain involvement of cranial nerves in SIH.
4. Use cisternography in diagnosis of spinal fluid leak.
5. Diagnose slow cerebrospinal fluid leaks using digital subtraction myelography.
