The goal of this program is to improve management of pediatric dyslipidemias and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) in adolescents. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Assign levels of risk for cardiovascular disease based on results from advanced lipid panels.
2. Compare and contrast the signs and symptoms of multiple varieties of dyslipidemia.
3. Select medications for treatment of dyslipidemia.
4. Identify patients with POTS based on diagnostic test results.
5. Treat POTS with behavioral therapy and medications.
