Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) is a telehealth educational initiative first developed in New Mexico that links clinics in rural areas with a multidisciplinary team of specialists via videoconference for mentoring and education. The overall program goal is to support primary care clinicians and their teams as they diagnose and treat patients with addiction in their practices. All sessions include a brief didactic presentation and interactive, deidentified case discussion.
