Elbow fractures are a common childhood injury and account for about 10% of all childhood fractures. While many of these fractures heal well with simple splinting, more severe fractures can cause significant morbidity. It’s important to be able to recognize elbow fractures, distinguish between the different types to provide the best management, and reduce the chance of complications.
