Emergency Medicine physicians must take a knowledge-based test to maintain their ABEM Board certification. This activity allows practicing physicians and other healthcare professionals to reaffirm and refresh their knowledge of areas of EM with which they may be less familiar or not encounter on a regular basis. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: • Discuss key points relating to cutting-edge emergency medicine topics. • Discuss literature and consensus-based recommendations for practice improvement. • Effectively translate the acquired strategies into improved diagnostics and subsequently implement a better treatment plan for their patients. • Enhance the maintenance of current knowledge and enable the participating physician to address knowledge, competency and gaps in practice. • Pass the Emergency Medicine Board Exam (if applicable).
