The goal of this program is to improve delivery of comprehensive end-of-life care for individuals with neurologic and developmental disabilities and management of dissatisfied patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Utilize principles to guide decision-making in end-of-life care of patients with developmental disabilities. 2. Identify challenges and considerations unique to end-oflife care for individuals with developmental disabilities. 3. Implement strategies for managing symptoms in individuals with developmental disabilities. 4. Address patient dissatisfactions. 5. Improve outcomes by providing positive feedback to staff who receive grievances.
